OPG digital

OPG Digital has enabled an overwhelming level of enhancement when analysing patient oral structure, with its visualisation and x-ray ability directing images for immediate viewing, to a computer screen.

X-rays are a critical tool, when evaluating the nature of the individual case and provide the necessary ability to diagnose, treat, and maintain dental health, enabling us to detect cavities in between your teeth, determine bone level, and health of bone.

X-rays can also facilitate the necessary examination of the roots and nerves of the teeth, diagnose lesions and assess damage when unexpected trauma occurs.

Whilst the use of traditional x-rays has involved exposure to relatively high levels of radiation, the advent of digital x-ray facilities has led to a reduction in radiation levels of up to 90%. In addition, the use of harmful chemicals within the processing stage has also been eliminated.

Not only does the use of OPG digital x-ray increase the safety of the procedure, the very nature of the technology allows for an increased ability to clearly visualise the area in question, and to enhance on specific details, by enlarging or reducing the images on screen. Results are more instantly accessible and the level of sharpness and clarity is greatly improved.
