In our continued efforts to provide effective orthotic therapy to those patients who are in need of musculoskeletal treatment, the use of the TENS machine has helped to alleviate a range of problems associated with the mouth and jaw.

Aided by the TENS equipment, therapy in neuromuscular disorders has been greatly enhanced. This in turn leads to improvements in the overall health and wellbeing of the body.

The TENS machine is a highly developed piece of equipment, which serves to provide a series of electrical impulses that stimulate the nerves and cause them to relax. In doing so, the TENS treatment can help to combat the problems of tension and misalignment, which can occur as a result of neuromuscular deformity.

In spite of its seemingly alarming nature, TENS treatment is in fact a very relaxing procedure and free from pain and discomfort, often lasting between 45 and 90 minutes. Patients have testified to the modest sensation experienced during treatment and it is a procedure that can often see patient fall asleep during the process.
