Meet Dr Maratos

Graduating from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Dental Science in 1984, Dr Ian Maratos provides comprehensive dental treatment for all clients.

A firm believer in post-graduate, continuing education, Dr Maratos practices ‘evidence based’ dentistry and is involved with many affiliated Dental societies, including:

Since 2006, Dr Ian Maratos has undertaken extensive post-graduate studies in neuromuscular and aesthetic dentistry, at the world renowned Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies.

Dr Maratos has had the opportunity to complete world class clinical treatment in cosmetic and neuromuscular dentistry, with full mentoring by world experts in the United States and Australia.

During secondary school, Ian lived and studied in Japan for 12 months and has developed this interest by now being the largest dental practice for the Japanese speaking community in Victoria.

He is well placed to deliver evidence based dentistry, with demonstrated skill and expertise in the area of full mouth reconstruction, with a bias towards dental and body balance, and consideration of the positive effects on total health and well being that come from a balanced neuromuscular bite.

Ian has had aesthetic dentistry himself, with porcelain cosmetic veneers and can speak with confidence, from the perspective of a client.

When he is not caring for his clients, Ian finds his greatest enjoyment in spending time with his wife, Libby, and their four young children. Both Ian and Libby have a love of travel and photography, evident throughout the practice with Libby’s breathtaking photographs.
